Companies, a cluster of divergent businesses engaged in the wholesale and retail
of numerous products and services including computers and related technology,
automobiles, sand and heavy equipment, throughout the Eastern Caribbean
islands (OECS).
However, for founder and CEO Goddard Darcheville, whose name is
synonymous with strength and success, this multifaceted ability is innate.
He embarked on his business/entrepreneurial career at eight.
Driven by the philosophies that one should "hold on when others let go"
and always "venture where others overlook or fear to go" Goddard
Darcheville, a technological connoisseur, gave birth to the first born of
the CES Group in Castries, St. Lucia in August 1998. He baptized it
Computer & Electrical Services. That company was his remedy to a
deficiency of reputable computer and electrical products and
services on the local market. Today CES Office World is a market
leader in the wholesale and retail of computers, hardware, office
equipment and supplies and services in the OECS.
Mr Darcheville is a three time finalist OECS Entrepreneur of the Year
and a major sponsor of Junior Achievement, a business training
program designed to equip students with knowledge and skills
needed to be successful businesspersons/entrepreneurs. He is highly
respected throughout St. Lucia and the OECS for his exceptional
business success, astute entrepreneurial skills and altruistic nature.
Goddard Darcheville credits his uncle Elwyn Darcheville, aunt Theresa
Eastmond, and parents Georgiana Erysthee and Francis Darcheville for molding
him into the greatly admired and accomplished person he is today.
